Blairsville

Lake Nottely. Vogel State Park. Appalachian Trail. A full-time mountain address.

Why this area

The shape of the place.

Blairsville is the county seat of Union County and the most established full-service town in the North Georgia mountain corridor.

Union County attracts a different buyer than Fannin or Gilmer — more interested in year-round mountain living, less focused on short-term rental income.

Thomas’s Take

Field notes from inside the corridor.

Blairsville is the largest town in Union County and the one most buyers don’t think of first — which is why the opportunity still exists. Lake Nottely to the west, Vogel State Park to the south, the Appalachian Trail running through the county. Outdoor infrastructure that’s been built over decades, not manufactured for a weekend market.

The buyer profile here skews toward permanent and semi-permanent residents more than anywhere else in my North Georgia practice.
