Thomas’s Take

Field notes from inside the corridor.

Young Harris is the quietest address in my North Georgia practice — a small college town on the edge of Lake Chatuge with a ridgeline view of Brasstown Bald and almost no foot traffic. Young Harris College anchors the permanent community, and the residential market around it reflects a different buyer than the resort towns to the west.

The properties here tend to sit on larger wooded lots, priced well below comparable Fannin County acreage. Brasstown Bald — Georgia’s highest peak — is twenty minutes.
