Coral Ridge

Established residential. Quieter canals. The northern Fort Lauderdale neighborhood that locals choose.

Why this area

The shape of the place.

Coral Ridge is the established residential neighborhood on the northern end of Fort Lauderdale, east of Federal Highway and west of the beach. Canal-front properties with Intracoastal access and larger lots than the Las Olas isles.

Coral Ridge attracts buyers who want the Fort Lauderdale water lifestyle without the energy of Las Olas or the price of Harbor Beach.

Thomas’s Take

Field notes from inside the corridor.

Coral Ridge is the established northern residential neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale — broader streets, more mature landscaping, a quieter residential character than Las Olas. The Coral Ridge Country Club anchors the western edge; the ocean is a half mile east. Most properties here are on the canal network, but the network is different — wider, calmer, with more family-oriented streets.

The buyers in Coral Ridge are usually choosing it over Las Olas deliberately: they want the water access, the Fort Lauderdale address, and the quieter residential fabric. The price point is lower than the south isles, the lot sizes are often larger.
